Kinetic Melody Consultation
LYNNEBEC worked with Birmingham artist Laurie Ramsell on a day's consultation for his Creative Practice Project, Kinetic Melody (working title).
The day explored movement ideas/motifs responding to Laurie's research into the nanoscale world of proteins. We worked with another invited artist Sipho Ndlovu to create these material suggestions.

Public Engagement with Research Day
In April 2019, the University of Birmingham's Public Engagement Team hosted a ‘Public Engagement with Research Day’ at the Bramall building.
As part of the talks and workshops for researchers, academics and invited guests, they invited LYNNEBEC to talk about our experience of working at Lapworth Museum, how research led projects has shaped our work, and our experience of working on an interdisciplinary public engagement event. We also ran a 45 min workshop for attendees on our approach to devising performance and making work in non-traditional spaces.

IYP AT IKON
Back in 2017, when we were freshly formed. Ikon Youth Programme got in touch and asked us to give a talk and a small workshop on our practice and being a newly formed company.
“In the context of Hiorn's exploration of the body and randomised art, newly formed LYNNEBEC's improvised body performance was a playful and refreshingly unpretentious take on the divisive medium. Thank you for performing for IYP #ikonyouthprogramme #ikongallery #performance #body #bodyart #genderpolitics #yoga #rogerhiorns “
This workshop was in November 2017.
